Ernesto Tonton Neri, graduated from Xavier University Grade School - Ateneo de Cagayan in 2002. In the course of his elementary years, he was a consistent honor student and active in various activities such as first aid club and drum and lyre crops which earned him an extra-curricular excellence award.
In XUHS, he ran for Student Council President and voted as youth mayor of CdeO. He graduated still under the honor roll with distinctions such as academic excellence award for social studies, magis award for leadership, and the prestigious Gerry Roxas Leadership Award.
In College, he continued to be an active student leader and won the CSG Presidency last Feb of 2010. He championed the reform of the Activity Hour and the empowerment of the executive departments as well as the revision of the Magna Carta of Students' Rights and Responsibilities and the creation of the Rights of Student Assistants. Prior to his presidency, he was also a delegate during the 2009 Ayala Young Leaders Summit held inTagaytay City as well as the Aboitiz Future Business Leaders summit held in Cebu City . He was also chosen to represent Xavier University in the South East Asian Catholic Schools conference held in Bangkok Thailand and Bandung Indonesia .He also involved himself in community organizing as the youth sector leader of the Cagayan de Oro Youth Yellow Army during the Presidential campaign of Noynoy. He was also a graduate of the Pugadlawin Political Education Program of the Ateneo School of Government. He graduated as the most outstanding student leader and the highest quality point index earner for business economics.
