College Life Hierarchy of needs

Physiological needs: The physiological needs of the organism, those enabling homeostasis, take first precedence. We need to breath, eat, sleep, drink, dispose and regulate body temperature. Duh! The canteen is located in the first floor of the commerce building. Comfort rooms are located almost in every building. Just look at the signs. Aside from research, the library is a good place to take a short nap.
Safety needs: Aside from the literal security officers in campus; security in terms of your course is a need in college. If you feel secured about your course; good for you because we really really need that. Aside from the course, we also need moral security. So we need to plant and let our morals and principles take root in order to be secured about our character.
Love and belongingness: After satisfying bodily and security needs, we move up to the love and belongingness. The next level is social. We need friendship, peer groups and family. This is where block mates and old friends come in. Nurture them in order to move up to the next need.
Status (esteem):
We need to be respected, to self-respect and to respect others. People need to engage themselves in order to gain recognition and have an activity or activities that give the person a sense of contribution and self-value, be it in a college career ( joining orgz) or hobbies. This is where the need to join human organizations comes in. Be active in your schools and organizations because these will help you grow. Self-Actualization: Self-actualization (a term originated by Kurt Goldstein) is the instinctual need of humans to make the most of their unique abilities and to strive to be the best they can be.

The college life hierarchy of needs is an assessment tool. We better reflect and ponder upon our human needs in order to live a full life.
